So Much To Do!

With only about six months to go... we still have a ton of planning to do! We think we found the dress, the tuxes, and some good ideas on bridesmaids dresses. Still need to get the final word on our officiant. Haven't even started with the photography, cake, DJ, decor, florist, etc. Yikes!

We are pretty set on BLUE for our main color. I do like greens too but green has been super popular lately at weddings and I wanted something a little different. We want to do everything a little outside the norm for our wedding, to make it memorable, fun, and exciting.

We are also still finalizing the guest list. It's hard because you never know how many people will be able to make it to an out of town wedding... should we start with a big list and let our guests decide if they want to make the trip? Or narrow it down right away to who we think is most likely to make it? What if we have a big list (200+) and 200 people show up!?! So many questions...

Bride & Groom's Plan for Resort

Hello everyone!

We sent out a few of the save the dates to immediate family last week and will be sending out the rest next week. One thing we forgot to inlcude on the Save the Date information is when we will be staying at the resort.

Our plan is to be up north Thursday, August 26th - September 6th. We will for sure be staying at the resort Friday, August 27th - Thursday September 2nd, and most likely be at Michele and Gerry's cabin or camping just down the shore the rest of the time. Anyone is welcome to vacation as long as they can with us :)

Hello everyone! I added some page links at the top of the main blog part, below the main heading to our blog. You should be able to click on the different buttons and be brought to a page for Horseshoe Bay Resort, Walker Activities, Dining, Directions, etc. I may rearrange these in the future but this is the info I have up for right now :)

It has been a pretty long and busy week but we are looking forward to getting back to the planning this week. Save the dates will be going out to family this week and friends by the end of February.

P.S. I tried on a few dresses this weekend! It was a lot of fun but I didn't find the one. Got some great ides though. Special thanks to Tanya, Abby, and Ash for coming with!!!

Just wanted to check in and let you know that I will be posting information soon about accomodations and Walker,MN. It has been a VERY busy week!!!

Save the Date!

It is official!

Our wedding will be August 28, 2010 in Walker, MN. With hopefully beautiful weather, we will be getting married on the shores of Leech Lake at Anderson's Horseshoe Bay Resort. You can check out some of the pics on their website, as well as 360 tours of their rooms/cabins.
