Random Pics from Last Week

Below are few pics from my camera this week. I am trying super hard to take more pictures in general, but what I really need to work on is taking pics of people! I hung out with Tanya, Abby, Ash, Angie, and date night with Tony but no pictures!!! Fail.

Here is what I did catch....

Jim (Tony's uncle) stopped over with a van load of baby stuff! Crib, changing table, cradle, etc. Yay for free stuff from our loving family! Thank you so much Jim and Ann :)

Last Minute Crafts & Bach Parties

One week to go... not expecting to see a post again until Sept? You were wrong! I'm still going!

I can be a big procrastinator sometimes but I am also a big perfectionist... a combination that can be quite time-consuming sometimes :)

Fortunately, Tony has helped me calm down a bit over the years and I think I have become much more productive and a little more forgiving over the years. Wednesday night we put together our music selections for the ceremony and start of reception. Thursday night we started the assembly on the programs and last night I finished them up! Here a few pics:

I also indulged in some pre-wedding/pre-bachelorette party pampering today! Got some waxing done and my nails done. I decided to be a little more fun and do my fingernails a bright pink because I usually just leave them clear. Not sure if I'm a huge fan but they will be gone in a week anyway.

And the theme for tomorrow's night party = pink, black, & white! Ashley has got me really excited!!! Hope I can behave ;)

Hair & Make-up Trial

Ashley and I ran up to the cabin late Sunday night to get a few things lined up. First thing Monday morning, we went to The Beehive for my make-up and hair consultation. It was at 8:30am and after a long night of driving... we were lookin a little rough. Thankfully Stacy is fabulous and made us feel super at ease with the plan for wedding day!


We ended up just playing around with my hair instead of doing a full trial. The plan is to wear it in a low, side, curly ponytail and then convert it up into a low, side bun for the reception if I start getting too hot. If it's anything like the weather has been the last few days here (90 and crazy humid) we will skip straight to the bun. What do you think of the flower? Too big? Just the right size?

In other news... my dress fitting "Take 2" went much smoother. I should be able to pick up my dress tonight! :)

B-E-A-Utiful

So I have been noticing lately that I am starting to get some nasty crow's feet around my eyes! Check it out:

I figured I better start to freshen up my look since we are close to one month away! Here are my new essentials:

HairDone?

I received my hairpiece in the mail the other day! I decided to go with #5 from my earlier post. I love it! But... it is much smaller than I thought! You can kinda see the pic of the model with it in her hair on the card. Looks like a good size right? Maybe even a little big? Well... maybe I just have a big head, but it is much smaller than it appears on the model. I will try to take a quick pic later this week and you guys can let me know what you think.

I might buy another one from the choices of the earlier post... just to compare. Does anyone know if you can return things you buy on etsy?

Hair Flower

Now that I have my dress, I need to start searching for accessories! I am thinking I will either wear my hair in a side ponytail loosely curled or a side knotted type bun. Which hair flower do you like best?

Shoes!!!

When I arrived at work this morning, there was a nice brown package waiting for me. On the side of the box it says: "Highly Addictive Contents Inside." Ha what a true statement! They were shoes from DSW :0) and who doesn't love a new pair of shoes?!

These are a sooo freakin comfy for being so tall! So far they are the top candidate for wedding shoes:

Dress!

We picked up my wedding dress earlier this week! Here is a tiny, tiny sample:

Next week I am going up to the cabin with Mom to pick out some table linens for the centerpieces, meet with our pastor, and do some other fun stuff. We might even go fishing! :)

Colors!

The bridesmaids dresses are going to be blue. Horizon Blue from David's Bridal to be exact. You can see what they will look like here. In person they are much brighter than they appear online :)

We went with dark gray suits from JCPenny, which can be seen here.

Flowers will be mostly white with a little bit of green. Maybe something like this, or this, or even this.

So... do we throw in another accent color? Like purple or green? It would not really be a part of the attire or flowers, but more for decor, invites, programs, etc. What do you guys think? I need some recommendations!

Hello everyone! I added some page links at the top of the main blog part, below the main heading to our blog. You should be able to click on the different buttons and be brought to a page for Horseshoe Bay Resort, Walker Activities, Dining, Directions, etc. I may rearrange these in the future but this is the info I have up for right now :)

It has been a pretty long and busy week but we are looking forward to getting back to the planning this week. Save the dates will be going out to family this week and friends by the end of February.

P.S. I tried on a few dresses this weekend! It was a lot of fun but I didn't find the one. Got some great ides though. Special thanks to Tanya, Abby, and Ash for coming with!!!
