Hair Flower

Now that I have my dress, I need to start searching for accessories! I am thinking I will either wear my hair in a side ponytail loosely curled or a side knotted type bun. Which hair flower do you like best?

Registries!

Happy Friday Everyone!!!

Tony and I have started our wedding registries! We have chosen to register at Target, Macy's, and Cabela's. Variety is the spice of life, right? If shopping isn't your thing, we also have a few school loans out there that would truly appreciate a little assistance ;)

At Target and Macy's you can look up our info under either of our names. Cabela's is a little different because they don't really have a registry thing set up there. So... we made what is called a "Wish List." You can access our Wish List by visiting Cabela's website and looking for the link to Wish Lists at the very top of the homepage. On the next page, click on "Find a Wish List." Select Minnesota from the drop down list and then enter in my name to find our list. We can only put it under one of our names and since Tony has a separate list that is ongoing for him, we put it under my name!

Hopefully that wasn't too confusing!

Shoes!!!

When I arrived at work this morning, there was a nice brown package waiting for me. On the side of the box it says: "Highly Addictive Contents Inside." Ha what a true statement! They were shoes from DSW :0) and who doesn't love a new pair of shoes?!

These are a sooo freakin comfy for being so tall! So far they are the top candidate for wedding shoes:

Dress!

We picked up my wedding dress earlier this week! Here is a tiny, tiny sample:

Next week I am going up to the cabin with Mom to pick out some table linens for the centerpieces, meet with our pastor, and do some other fun stuff. We might even go fishing! :)

Mom's Day!

Did everyone have a fabulous Mother's Day?! I think we succeeded :) We went over to Mom's around 6pm and made her dinner! We also did a photo shoot with Suzy earlier in the week to give Mom some updated pics for their new place. Here is a little sample:

Map!

I made a map! It's for the invites and it shows the general streets and locations once you get to the Hwy 371/200 split. I think it turned out pretty well for my first time attempting something freehand on the computer.

Did a super deep clean on the bedroom today... Loving it! Except now I realize how much of our decor is still sitting in storage. My goal is to get each area of the apartment thoroughly cleaned, organized, and de-cluttered by wedding time. I want a fresh start for me and my honey!

Now if only I could get Tony in on it too... ;)

Stormy Weather

Another rainy day. Blah. Trying my best to make it productive even though it would be wonderful to snuggle in bed all day!

Went to the gym this morning, joined MyFitnessPal, and did the dishes. Now I'm trying to keep the momentum going at work :) TGIF!

Almost Summer

Two of my many favorite things about summer: pretty toenails and margaritas!


Met up with Ash and Kel on Sunday afternoon for some wonderful pedicures. Why don't I do this more often?! I really need to take better care of my feet. If you have ever seen my nasty heels, you would agree. I really do not care for shoes and socks, and by looking at my rough soles, you would certainly see the proof. (By the way... ugly toes run in the family!)

Last night we went out to El Loro in celebration of Cinco de Mayo! It was a nuthouse but the live music and people watching was pretty entertaining. Thanks for going out Mike, Tanya, and Abby! Only two things would have made it even better: a host stand and lovely weather on the patio.

Clean!

Starting a new thing! Actually it's an old thing but something I have let fall to the wayside... CLEANING! I forgot how FABULOUS it makes me feel!

I took about 15 minutes during my lunch break today to scrub and shine my kitchen sink. I can't stop thinking about how beautiful it looks and how relaxing it is to have a super clean sink!

I know it sounds really weird but it really brightened my mood. Especially after the fiasco that was Jax escaping his crate on garbage day... SHREDDED two entirely full bags of garbage that we were going to take out today (should have taken a pic). And not just in the kitchen... it was ALL OVER the entire apartment! I even found some stuff under the bed!!! He is a crazy trouble-making dog when he gets bored. We usually let him roam free a few days a week and crate him a few days. Guess he needed to be OUT today!

Tonight's agenda: Cinco de Mayo!!! I love margaritas!

I have been thinking about posting more pics. I haven't done very many so far because I like surprising people and don't want to give away all the stuff we are doing for the wedding. However... I do think it is still going to be cool to see it altogether in person rather than a pic here and there of a piece of the whole pie.

So... I might be posting some pics soon! Of dresses, centerpieces, invites, suits, etc!

Weekend News

Monogram #1 seemed to get the most votes on FB - I just need to adjust it a little bit.

This weekend I got all the colored paper for the invites and Abby helped me cut them into the sizes we will be using. With two paper cutters it didn't seem to take long at all!

Next, I have to decide if I should cut the white paper for the print outs first and then print on it... or... print on it, then cut to size. Hmm... I'm not such a wiz with printers and paper sizing so it might be option two.

We also picked out shoes for the bridesmaids this weekend. We were debating for awhile between hot pink and silver. Silver seems to be winning the battle.

This week I am thinking about going to pick up my dress. It has been in since mid-April but I haven't wanted to go in to try it on because I do not have ANY accessories yet. No shoes, no veil, no jewels, etc. I still do not have these items, but since my wonderful aunt Bee is going to be altering my dress, I don't really need them at the appointment at the store! Maybe I am delaying because I am scary, vampire-ishly pale. Abby even got startled this weekend when I pulled up my jeans to try on some shoes... that's how pale I am!

That is about it for this cloudy, chilly Monday. Perhaps I will post again later tonight when I am slaving over the laundry machines.
